A message from Renaissance Learning

Congratulations on a wonderful school year at Itawamba County School District! According to your Accelerated Reader Real Time data, your students using AR read an average of 242559 words each, and have taken an average of 49 quizzes each, making your district stand out on a national level for its impressive achievement in student reading practice. You should be very proud. It's clear your district has made a commitment to the importance of reading practice-a vital building block for students' overall academic achievement. It's this kind of performance and dedication we'll be looking for when we evaluate schools and districts this fall for our national reading achievement awards, such as our What Kids Are Reading Award! Educators thank us all the time for developing Accelerated Reader, but it's really your dedicated teachers and you who make it work. I encourage you to forward this information to your district and the community to let them know about your wonderful news. Best of luck for continued success with your AR program.

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001(NCLB) requires school, district, and state report cards containing three general areas of information: school improvement, teacher qualifications, and test data. The report must contain information about the professional qualifications of teachers in core academic subject areas. Highly qualified teachers are those who satisfied the NCLB criteria during the school year. The report card must also contain achievement data for specific subgroups, two-year achievement trends, and student participation. District and State data may be viewed on our website by clicking here.
