THE ARTS

The Tupelo Symphony Orchestra recently played a free concert for the students of the Itawamba County School District.  It was an overwhelming success.   Many thanks go to Dr. Marquis, the Tupelo Symphony Orchestra  and all others who made the concert possible.  For many students, this was a once in a lifetime experience.  For more information on the Tupelo Symphony Orchestra go to http://www.tupelosymphony.com/.

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001(NCLB) requires school, district, and state report cards containing three general areas of information: school improvement, teacher qualifications, and test data. The report must contain information about the professional qualifications of teachers in core academic subject areas. Highly qualified teachers are those who satisfied the NCLB criteria during the school year. The report card must also contain achievement data for specific subgroups, two-year achievement trends, and student participation. District and State data may be viewed on our website by clicking here.
