AdministrationText Box:   Once again, I am proud to say that I’ve been a part of another dynamic year at Tremont Attendance Center, where we constantly strive to make a positive difference in the lives of our students and our community. This year has seen a number of exciting changes occur within our school, all made possible by our outstanding PTO, as well as generous support from the community at large. We have added new classrooms by renovating existing space, equipped and opened a 30-computer work space called “The Learning Zone,” installed a state-of-the-art sound system in the gym and created a weight room with the most up-to-date equipment for our athletes to use in training more effectively all year long. Let me say this again: Every bit of this was made possible by the exceptional support from our PTO and community - people who care deeply about our school and students here in Tremont and are committed to seeing Tremont Attendance Center become not only the crown jewel of Itawamba County, but of the whole state. In addition to the physical changes here at Tremont, our academic performance and athletic accomplishments have soared to new heights this year, too, as our students have developed new-found pride in their school and determination to succeed.   As proud as I am of all we’ve accomplished together in the 2009-2010 school year, I know in my heart it is but a drop in the bucket to what we will accomplish in years to come, and I look forward to being a part of it all. Mr. Cates is a graduate of Mantachie High School. He attended Itawamba Community College and Delta State University. He received his undergraduate degree from Delta State University. He received his graduate degrees from University of Mississippi.
